I was bit confused as how the files were, but I figured it out. The game starts, I click the "Start" button, it loads for about 10 seconds then crashes. Don't know what to do, can you possibly upload this just a regular RAR file? Not some bullshit weird files.
Works great, just follow the instructions in the description to install:
1) Extract TPTB-TFEA.001 using 7-Zip 9.20 or WinRAR.
2) Run using The ForestTheForest.exe
3) Play.
I ran as administrator so I don't know if it has any issues starting up if you don't, it did stop responding while starting a game but after a few seconds it finished loading.

I don't get what it means to extract and run..all it shows is everything in a folder nothing to be extracted..and no .exe anywhere..all it shows is the changelog and the TBTP files

Just like it says in the info look for the file TPTB-TFEA.001 and use WinRar or 7-Zip to open it and you'll see what's inside. Extract it somewhere on your computer where you want it. Go to the where you extracted it to, you should see another folder inside called The Forest, that's the folder with the game in it. You can actually take that folder and move it where ever you want cause you don't need the 1st folder. Look for the file TheForest.exe and run that and you're good to go. Everything you need is in there cause I downloaded it yesterday and ran the game.

This concerns your graphics card capabilities and settings. So, if, for example, you have an integrated graphics card – upgrade it to a better version.
Reduce the screen resolution parameter in the graphics settings of the game.
4. Can’t save.
Because the game is still in its early stage of availability and needs some fixing and modding – just wait for an official patch. We are sure that developers are already working on it.
Try starting the game with “administrator” rights. (Right-click on the shortcut).
5. Textures crashing and glitches.
Upgrade your graphics card drivers.
If you have a SLI/Crossfire graphics card mode – turn it off.
Check if you graphics card isn’t overheating – try adding another cooler.
6. Black screen during gameplay.
Try launching the game in a window mode. You can set this up in the game’s graphics settings.
Check you Steam cache.
7. Loading is too slow.
This may be simply because the game still requires some heavy optimization. Every time the game loads it generates a lot of objects on the world map – this naturally consumes tons of system resources. Although, adding more RAM could solve this.
Be patient, don’t shut the game – let everything load properly.
8. Can’t play in co-op online mode.
The developers haven’t included this mode yet. But they promised to add it in the future.

The game and every thing works fine on my rig only problem I have is the controller.Everything works right on the xbox controller cept the right analog stick..cant look around with it>Anyone else have this problem?

If you have a 32bit system it will not work unless you fore windows to load more of the game into memory than it should, then crash after 10min.
64bit is the only system that will run this game you have to make sure you use the temp shelter to save as the hunter shelter is still broken.
To uninstall the game from this upload just delete the extracted folder as it's self-contained.
